The ARA has successfully applied (via Birds Australia) to the federal government's Envirofund grant scheme for funding to conduct a community awareness raising project about tropical rainforest raptors on Christmas Island. This project will include meeting the following targets:-

	A3 full colour poster (providing pictures and points of identification of owls and raptors found on Christmas Island).
	A4 pamphlet (describing the uniqueness of Christmas Island's bird of prey species and their key conservation requirements).
	These both will be published in English, Chinese and Malay (this in reflection of the multicultural heritage of Christmas Island).
	Conduct illustrated talks and seminars to school classes, community and industry groups on Christmas Island.

 The project is to be completed by 30 June 2006. A report on this project will be published on this web site after that date.
