Eagles on Farms

This document highlights the fact that there is no need to harm eagles, and suggests ways to protect their nest sites. It also recognises the importance of farmers and case studies the situation in Tasmania.

Rehabilitation

This document provides notes on the basic handling and first aid required for when you first location an injured bird of prey. Good first aid can prevent a bad injury quickly becoming worse.  Many members of the association are involved in the rehabilitation of Raptors, that for one reason or another are temporarily unable to survive in the wild. The work is extremely demanding in both time and skill and requires tremendous patience and understanding of the species to achieve success.

For those who wish to become involved in this work, we advise you to contact your local wildlife or conservation authority office for information on licensing requirements and contact a group such as the ARA for assistance.

Oiled Raptors

This document provides notes on how to deal with an oiled Raptor.
